@smugmac The two don't compare. A non-reversible free app update moved important features to an iAP. MS never did that with Service Packs.
-
@ptujec No, I don't get your false equivalency. At least tell me where my statements are incorrect rather than ad hominem attacks.
-
@ptujec What it I was using iCloud for backups? How do I prevent future updates on a single app? Is being conned for $2 still OK?
-
@smugmac They moved existing basic features from a previously paid app to an iAP. Whining? Why should I pay again to restore features?
-
@chrisgoedde Sorry, they made it a "Pro" feature. You have to pay $2 to restore it. Nice revenue model!
-
@vemedio What about restoring sorting of unplayed podcasts ASAP? Is that just "whining" and "misinformation" too?
-
@KitchenSteve @vemedio Exactly! I though I was the only one that noticed that a basic feature moved to a paid update!
-
@JakubUjejski @vemedio Not true. Sorting of unplayed podcasts was MOVED to an iAP. I wouldn't mind free update with feature parity.
-
@ptujec Moving a feature behind a Pro iAP is called what? I need to pay $2 to restore a feature I already paid for.
-
@6T9 The blog post lists "editing smartlists" as a Pro feature s.benad.me/JRLF1a 2nd to last paragraph. It was done on purpose.
-
@6T9 Me too. It totally sucks to move prev features from a paid app to an in-app purchase.
-
@6T9 Each time I press and hold it asks me to may for Pro

Shame on you @vemedio for going out of your way to rip off paying customers. Instacast's Extortion: s.benad.me/KTXBhS #instacast

@vemedio Really, this feels like extortion. I'll have to check my older iTunes backups to revert to V1 now for a basic feature.
-
@vemedio Do I need to pay $2 again to restore group sort of unplayed podcasts? Kind of shitty way to treat v1 payed users.
